FAQ

Who makes the jewellery?

I do! I’m a one woman business, so every piece you buy has been designed, made, finished and packaged by me. I’ve spent nearly ten years developing my business and creating my own distinctive style. I’m very proud of what I’ve built and of the fact that my jewellery is genuinely different. Because it’s just me, there are some things I can’t offer, but it also means your jewellery has had my personal attention from start to finish.

Where do you get the coffee pods from?

The coffee pods I use are collected through my local community. If you have used pods to recycle, please return them through Podback, unless you’re in Petersfield, Hampshire, or you’ve already arranged with me to bring them to one of my market stalls.

Can you tell me how you make your jewellery?

I’m very happy to explain the materials I use and how I came to create my jewellery, but I don’t share the specific methods and techniques I use to make it. It has taken me nearly ten years to develop my process and my own style, so my making techniques are an important part of what makes my jewellery unique. I hope you’ll understand that I need to keep those parts of my business to myself.

Do you make bespoke jewellery?

I don’t currently offer bespoke pieces or individual commissions. As a one woman business, my time is limited and I need to focus on creating my own collections and keeping my jewellery available for everyone to enjoy.

What size is your jewellery?

Here is a size guide for Coffee Pod Creations jewellery.

Is your jewellery hypoallergenic?

Yes. All of my jewellery is hypoallergenic, making it suitable for most people with sensitive skin. If you have a particular metal sensitivity and would like to check the materials used in a specific piece, please contact me before ordering.

How do I place an order?

Simply choose the jewellery you’d like, add it to your basket and complete checkout. Once your order comes through, I’ll prepare it personally and get it ready for dispatch.

Can I change or cancel my order?

Please contact me as soon as possible if you need to make a change or cancel an order. Because I’m a one woman business, I may already have started making or packing your order, so I can’t guarantee that changes or cancellations will always be possible.

When will my order be sent?

I aim to get orders packed and dispatched as quickly as I can. Please remember that I’m a one woman business and I don’t work weekends or UK bank holidays. Orders placed around weekends and bank holidays may therefore take a little longer to be dispatched. Your dispatch confirmation will let you know when your order has left me.

What delivery options do you have?

I offer a free delivery option at checkout. If you’re concerned about your parcel being delayed or lost, you can choose Royal Mail First Class Tracked at checkout for additional peace of mind.

What if my parcel is delayed or lost?

Once your order has been handed to the delivery service, I can’t control how quickly it travels. If you choose the free delivery option, I cannot accept responsibility for parcels that are lost or delayed in the post. I will always do what I reasonably can to help investigate a missing parcel, but the risk of loss or delay remains with the delivery service. If you’re worried about your parcel being lost or delayed, please choose Royal Mail First Class Tracked at checkout.

Can I return jewellery?

Yes. If you change your mind about your purchase, you can return it in accordance with my returns policy. Please contact me before sending anything back so I can make sure you have the correct return instructions.

Who pays for return postage?

If you’re returning an item because you’ve changed your mind, you are responsible for the cost of returning it to me. If there is a problem with your order or your jewellery arrives faulty or damaged, please contact me before returning it so I can help.

When will I receive my refund?

Once your return has arrived safely and I’ve checked it, I’ll process your refund. The time it then takes for the money to appear in your account will depend on your payment provider.

What if my jewellery arrives damaged?

Please contact me as soon as possible and send me a photograph of the jewellery and the packaging. Please keep the packaging until the issue has been resolved, as it may be useful when investigating what happened to your parcel.

What is the metal made from on your jewellery?

The findings I use, such as earring hooks and clasps, are made from stainless steel. They are tarnish free and hypoallergenic, making them comfortable and easy to wear. The colourful patterns and designs you see in my jewellery are the original coffee pod material. Coffee pods are made from aluminium, which is wonderfully lightweight and hypoallergenic. So when you wear my jewellery, you’re wearing a little piece of an upcycled coffee pod, transformed into something completely different!

How do I look after my jewellery?

My jewellery is made using upcycled aluminium coffee pods and stainless steel components. The stainless steel parts are tarnish proof, waterproof, sweat proof and hypoallergenic, making my studs and pendants particularly easy to wear and care for. Dangle earrings need a little more care. I recommend storing your earrings so that they aren’t rubbing against other jewellery or loose items in your jewellery box.

What happens if I loose an earring?

If you lose one of your earrings, please contact me. I’m happy to replace a lost single earring free of charge, provided I still have the materials and components needed to make a replacement. You’ll just need to cover the postage costs.

Coffee Pod Creations Guarantee

Yes. I’m proud of the jewellery I make and I offer a lifetime guarantee against faults caused by my workmanship or materials, provided the jewellery has been properly cared for and has not been misused, accidentally damaged or altered. If something goes wrong with your jewellery, please contact me. I’ll assess the problem and, where it is covered by my guarantee, I’ll do my best to repair or replace it. The guarantee doesn’t cover normal wear and tear, accidental damage, scratching caused by improper storage, misuse or damage caused by alterations or repairs carried out by someone else. If you’re unsure, please ask. I’d much rather you got in touch than stopped wearing a piece you love.
